Rig Type: 21 tonne excavator mounted Klemm and pneumatic atlas copco
Pile type: 300mm diameter contiguous fully reinforced maximum depth 12.0mtrs working in conjunction with ground anchors and soil nails to arrest landslip to road.
Anchor type: Steel threadbar double corrosion protected
Soil Nail type: Fully threaded self drilling with 110mm drill bit.
A section of roadway had slipped very close to the picturesque town of Wynchelsea. A&J Geotechnical Services were contracted to provide a cost effective solution.
Self - drilling soil nails were installed to the existing slope in order to arrest any further movement. A row of bored piles were installed and ground anchors were installed under the existing road, pre – fabricated wall sections were placed over the ground anchors and fixed to the piles, The ground anchors were then stressed to a working load in order to prevent any further movement to the road.
