Sheet piles were installed to this new development adjacent to the council offices. In order for excavations to be carried out A&J Geotechnical Services were contracted to design and install a ground anchor system capable of supporting the very busy main road. Bar anchors were installed through holes cut in the sheet piles, waling beams fabricated on site were used to tie the whole length of sheet piles together enabling the safe excavations to be carried out.
